The world's first ready-mix pancake batter was Aunt Jemima. Chris Rutt and Charles Underwood developed the mix in 1889. To compliment the pancakes, the Aunt Jemima syrup was made in 1966.
According to Guinness World Records, the largest pancake in the world measured 15.01m (49 ft 3 in) in diameter and 2.5 cm (1 in) in height. It was completed by the Co-operative Union, Ltd in England on August 13th, 1994.
All sorts of pancake flavors exist; strawberry, cinnamon, banana, etc. But have you heard of blodplattar? Blodplattar (blood pancakes) are from Sweden and consist of eggs, milk, butter, flour, and pork blood. These pancakes are considered a delicacy.
